Migrant Sounds is a Berlin-based music project founded by José Carlos Mayorga. Five permanent members from Latin America collaborate with guest artists from all over the world, weaving Latin American, African, Middle Eastern and European traditions into one shared musical language.
Our music knows no borders. We actively collaborate with guest artists from all over the world to blend diverse musical genres and lived experiences.
Drawing inspiration from global traditions, our sound weaves together elements of Latin American, African, Middle Eastern and European styles.
We believe that music is a universal language. Every performance is an invitation to listen, connect and imagine new forms of togetherness.

Migrant Sounds grew naturally from José Carlos Mayorga’s cultural and community work with ARTivisten e.V. The Berlin-based association creates space for artists from around the world, supporting intercultural empowerment, exchange and connection.
