José Carlos Mayorga

José Carlos Mayorga, the founder of Migrant Sounds, is a Guatemalan-born, self-taught guitarist now based in Berlin. Fueled by an enduring passion and love for music, he founded the Berlin-based cultural association ARTivisten e.V. with the mission of providing artists from all over the world a dedicated stage for intercultural empowerment and connection. Out of this visionary community work and his deep musical dedication, the Migrant Sounds project was naturally born. His personal artistic journey is defined by a constant drive to grow musically and to find new inspiration across diverse cultural traditions. By bringing international talents together in collaborative concerts, he aims to bridge these different cultures, allowing them to connect, share, and inspire one another through music.

Isabella Bejarano Montes de Oca

Isabella Bejarano Montes de Oca is a German-born singer with Colombian and Peruvian roots. Raised in Chile and Germany by actor parents, including a mother who sings Latin American folklore, she grew up surrounded by music and art. Her musical identity blends Latin rhythms, Latin pop, ballads, and international pop. As a member of Migrant Sounds, Isabella celebrates her heritage and brings her multicultural story to the stage.

Pablo Gómez

Pablo Gómez is a Santiago-born Latin American musician whose work is deeply rooted in human values and cultural heritage. Inspired by nueva canción legends like Víctor Jara and Silvio Rodríguez, as well as the warm rhythms of the Caribbean, he blends tradition with emotional sensitivity. Through his music, Pablo shares stories and collective memories that resonate with the daily lives of working-class people. His artistic path is also deeply shaped by his role as a father, which inspires him to build a legacy based on respect, solidarity, and a strong love for Latin American culture.

Luis “Gato” Lincheo

Gato Lincheo is an outstanding Mapuche Afro-Aymara guitarist, composer, and producer based in Berlin. Trained in prestigious Chilean classical guitar traditions, he seamlessly bridges classical discipline with jazz, electronic music, and deep Latin American roots. After making a strong impact in Chile through various fusion and folklore projects, he expanded his career internationally. In Berlin, Gato has developed an innovative approach that combines acoustic guitar with loops, techno textures, and modern European jazz.

Greco Acuña
Percussion
Greco Acuña is a highly talented Chilean musician and percussionist based in Berlin, specializing in Latin American and Afro-diasporic rhythms. He expanded his training in Chilean popular music with immersive studies of Afro-Peruvian, Afro-Cuban, and Afro-Brazilian percussion in Salvador de Bahía and Rio de Janeiro. In Chile, he established himself as a prominent session and touring musician, performing with legendary artists such as Inti Illimani and Roberto Bravo. Now active in Berlin, Greco brings his rich rhythmic language and genre-spanning versatility to various projects, including Migrant Sounds.
